FIRST WORLD CONFERENCE ON INTER-RELIGIOUS AND INTER-CIVILIZATION DIALOGUE" THE CONTRIBUTION TO FAITH AND CULTURE TO WORLD, MUTUAL RESPECT AND COEXISTENCE “

The First World Conference on Inter-religious and Inter-Civilization Dialogue: “The Contribution of Religion and Culture to Peace, Mutual Respect and Co-existence” was held from October 26-28, 2007 in Ohrid, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, UNESCO and the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation and the World Conference of Religions for Peace, as partners. This World Conference raised the Republic of Macedonia in the eyes of the international public as a country leader in Southeast Europe in the field of key positions in the global world on a European and world level. Ohrid and Macedonia hosted 400 participants, representatives of all religions from 100 countries in the world. At the conference, a joint Declaration was adopted on the promotion of inter-religious dialogue, understanding and unity.
